The Lego movies have shown that people want to watch Lego figures in action, but most of us can only dream about making those kinds of big-budget spectacles ourselves. However, some great work of a different order comes from the basements and kitchen tables of amateur Lego stop-motion filmmakers. This talk looks at the techniques that amateur Lego filmmakers use, how they differ from live-action film, and what kinds of stories Lego filmmakers tell. Finally, it includes a few basic tips for creating for your own Lego animation and how to make it “pop."
